President Obama can't wait for damn republicans!

2012
Friend --

Now that each and every Senate Republican has vowed to block measures that would create jobs, President Obama is not going to wait for them to rebuild the economy and bring financial security back to the middle class.

Today, he announced new rules on federal mortgages to prevent more families from losing their homes to foreclosure. And that's just the beginning -- the President said he would continue to make the changes he can by executive action, while continuing to urge Congress to act on legislation to strengthen the economy and create jobs.

If Congress doesn't act, he will -- because millions of Americans can't just wait for Congress to do their jobs. That's why thousands of you have been calling and tweeting your representatives over the past month, joining the President in sending a message to lawmakers in Washington that they need to act now.

This Week for your Florida Federal Critters!

Introductory Statement

I am Stewart A. Alexander of Murrieta, California, a life-long civil rights activist and an active member of the Peace and Freedom Party for the last nine years. Last year I ran a statewide campaign for Lieutenant Governor, and I was pleased with how well the socialist message of the Peace and Freedom Party resonated with the people and groups I spoke with during the campaign. These are times of crisis, and people are looking for answers. I am offering myself as a candidate for the Presidential nomination of the Socialist Party and the Peace and Freedom Party in order to bring to the country a message of peace, human rights, prosperity for workers, and socialism. I think people are ready to listen. I hope to help build a united Left campaign, bringing people together to work in the people's interest.

a working class history

I REMEMBER, AS a young teenager in the early 1930s during the worst Depression in U.S. history, listening to some smart asses who said the American working class was hopelessly backward and too dumb to join unions.

Within a few years the CIO revolution swept over the country. Tragically, only the Communist Party took advantage of this upsurge and established itself on a mass basis. Its defense of the Stalinist ruling class finished that movement, and struck a serious blow to socialism.

The Trotskyists tried but failed to overcome their middle-class background, to become a workers' party in the true sense of the word -- a party of real live workers living a lifetime of work in the main production centers and winning the workers to socialism. Had this been accomplished the non-Stalinist left would have survived and grown.

Tio Hugo wants the rich's house for the people!

 EDT

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez announced Thursday that his government will expropriate homes on the Caribbean resort islands of Los Roques, saying the structures were built on plots bought in shadowy business deals.
Chavez has nationalized hundreds of privately owned companies since taking office in 1999, but this is the first time he has targeted private homes for expropriation.
Chavez offered no details regarding the planned seizures of private homes and quaint inns, known in Spanish as "posadas."

This sucks for the poor and needy.luxury apartments $1500 a month. You are serious? As a heart attack and this must stop. Affordable housing is needed, not luxury apartments. Hell the workers ,who probably build these damn places cant afford to live in one, but must build it for the bourgeois need a place to stay. This an attack on the working class again and this must not stand! REVOLUTION!
